Gemtek and Dixon Advance Strategic Collaboration to Expand Optical Connectivity Business in India

Gemtek Technology Co., Ltd. and Dixon Technologies (India) Limited are progressing in their strategic collaboration through a joint venture in India, aimed at expanding manufacturing and market opportunities for Optical Transceivers, BOSA (Bidirectional Optical Sub-Assembly), and other high-speed optical connectivity solutions.

This partnership leverages Gemtek's expertise in optical communications, photonic integration, and product development, alongside Dixon's manufacturing capabilities and market presence in India. The collaboration intends to create a scalable platform to serve Broadband, Telecom, Cloud, Data Center, and AI Infrastructure markets both in India and globally.

Gemtek is enhancing its optical connectivity portfolio with solutions ranging from 1G to 1.6T, which include Optical Transceivers, SFPs, and BOSA. The company is utilizing EIC-PIC photonic integration and advanced manufacturing capabilities to advance its roadmap toward 800G, 1.6T, and next-generation photonic integration technologies, aimed at meeting the rising demand for high-bandwidth and high-performance connectivity driven by AI, cloud, and data center infrastructure.

The collaboration also supports India's emphasis on local manufacturing of Optical Transceivers, BOSA, and other high-speed optical solutions. By merging Gemtek's technological expertise with Dixon's local manufacturing abilities, the partnership allows for scalable production in India while reinforcing Gemtek's global manufacturing footprint, enhancing geographic diversification, and overall supply-chain resilience.

Gemtek is scheduled to participate in the India Mobile Congress (IMC) 2026 from October 7–10, 2026, at Yashobhoomi, New Delhi, India, where it will showcase its 1G-to-1.6T Optical Connectivity portfolio and solutions aimed at Broadband, Telecom, and AI Data Center applications.
