GigaStar Debuts Its Investing and Trading Ecosystem for the Creator Economy, Rings NASDAQ Bell
GigaStar has announced the launch of GigaStar Securities LLC, operating under the name GigaStar Trading. This new platform serves as an affiliate broker-dealer with a digital Alternative Trading System (ATS), facilitating secondary market trading of digital securities related to the Creator Economy. These securities can be initially purchased on GigaStar Market, the company’s main investment platform.
The opening of GigaStar Trading was marked by team members ringing the NASDAQ Bell on August 31st, recognizing the company’s achievement of winning the 2025 Chicago Innovation Award. Previously, investors could only acquire Creator securities through GigaStar Market via Regulation CF offerings. With the new platform, investors gain broader access to buy or sell these securities on a regulated secondary market.
Despite being distinct platforms, GigaStar Market and GigaStar Trading are interconnected, allowing investors to manage and trade digital securities that represent a percentage of potential future creator revenue, starting with YouTube revenue. David Hunt, CEO of GigaStar Securities, stated, "We're fueling an asset class that empowers individuals and institutions to participate in the growth of Creators." He emphasized that the launch introduces wider access to the Creator Economy through a developing investing and trading ecosystem.
The launch follows GigaStar Securities obtaining registration from both the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) as a Broker-Dealer and ATS for digital asset securities. GigaStar Trading is noted as one of the few SEC-registered digital asset security ATSs in the U.S., with licenses to operate in all 50 states, and is reportedly the only ATS designed specifically for the Creator Economy.
As of now, GigaStar Market has over 30,000 registered investor accounts and has distributed more than $1.5 million in monthly YouTube revenue to investors. Since its inception in late July, GigaStar Trading has attracted over 1,000 accounts and has cleared more than $100,000 in trading volume. Investors are reminded that the securities purchased on GigaStar Market must be held for a minimum of 12 months before they are eligible for trading in the secondary market.
