PatientIQ Raises $30 Million Series C to Power the Next Generation of Patient-Reported Outcomes Intelligence
PatientIQ, a patient outcomes intelligence platform serving over 870 healthcare organizations and 17 million patients in the United States, has announced a $30 million funding round as part of its Series C financing. The round was led by Hughes & Company, a Chicago-based growth equity firm focused on healthcare software and technology-enabled service companies. Travis Hughes, Founder and Managing Partner of Hughes & Company, is set to join PatientIQ's Board of Directors.
The newly acquired funds will facilitate PatientIQ's growth by expanding its reach across more medical specialties, enhancing its real-world evidence platform for medical device and life sciences companies, and developing a marketplace that connects patients with products and services directly.
“We spent a year studying the patient-reported outcomes space,” said Travis Hughes. “What we found in PatientIQ is something rare – a company that helped create and define an entirely new category that has a meaningful impact on quality of care. We are excited to be part of PatientIQ's next chapter of growth.”
Since its Series B funding in 2022, PatientIQ's EHR-integrated network has grown from 200 to over 870 healthcare organizations, with more than 70 million patient outcomes collected. The platform integrates with over 50 EHR systems, including Epic and Oracle Cerner, automating outcomes capture within existing clinical workflows across more than 20 medical specialties.
The investment arrives amid increasing pressure from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) for patient-reported outcome requirements and a similar focus from payers on tying reimbursement to clinical outcomes. PatientIQ aims to establish itself as the standard for outcomes intelligence, facilitating the necessary data for healthcare systems and industry partners to enhance care quality.
