WOODLAND DIRECT OPENS NEW DISTRIBUTION CENTER IN RENO, NV

Woodland Direct, a leading e-commerce site for fire-related products, is set to open a new 47,000-square-foot distribution center in Reno, Nevada. This facility will serve as the company's second distribution center, complementing its existing headquarters and distribution center located in Auburn Hills, Michigan.

The new distribution center, scheduled to open in September 2026, aims to enhance the customer experience by reducing shipping times for customers on the West Coast.

Andrew Ingram, President and Founder of Woodland Direct, stated, "Woodland Direct has grown and evolved substantially over the past several years. We already ship all around the country. By opening the Reno distribution center, we're able to serve our West Coast customers more quickly and efficiently."

The decision to establish a second distribution center was initiated by the leadership team in the final quarter of 2025. After collaborating with logistics consultants, the team determined that a location west of the Rocky Mountains was advisable, with Reno emerging as a strategic option for expansion. Gunnar Bennethum, senior manager of supply chain operations and business planning, expressed enthusiasm about the move, saying, "We are excited to be a part of the Reno community, and we look forward to making our customers' experience even more enjoyable."

The project utilizes local Reno companies, including Engineered Solutions, Teledata Technologies, and WTR Electrical, for the construction and preparation of the warehouse. Bennethum and Warehouse Assistant Wesley Davey will relocate from Auburn Hills to Reno to oversee the operations. The Reno distribution center will implement industry-standard software, NetSuite, to enhance efficiency, which Bennethum noted will improve inventory accuracy and provide the sales team with better visibility of product availability.
