St. Johnsbury Barracks / Cocaine Possession and Warrant

On September 1, 2026, at approximately 1:48 AM, Vermont State Police Troopers from the St. Johnsbury Barracks conducted a routine patrol in St. Johnsbury. During their patrol, they encountered a male slumped over the wheel of a vehicle at Maplefields. Upon investigation, officers identified a passenger in the vehicle as Amber Labrecque, a 37-year-old resident of St. Johnsbury, who possessed an active warrant for her arrest for Accessory After the Fact.

Labrecque was arrested and transported to the correctional complex. After her arrival, officers discovered that she had concealed cocaine, which was found stuffed in the seat of the police cruiser. Subsequently, Labrecque received two citations requiring her appearance at Caledonia County Superior Court - Criminal Division. The first court date is set for September 1, 2026, at 12:30 PM for the warrant, and the second is scheduled for September 28, 2026, at 8:30 AM for the cocaine possession.

The accused remains in custody at the Northeast Correctional Complex, and no bail has been set. The Vermont State Police remind the public that court dates and times may change at the discretion of the court, advising individuals to contact the criminal court clerk for confirmation of arraignment times.
