CABOT ANNOUNCES CABOT WILDS, NOVA SCOTIA'S NEWEST LUXURY LIFESTYLE AND GOLF DESTINATION
Cabot, a developer and operator of luxury resort and residential golf destinations, has announced the development of Cabot Wilds, a new 2,500-acre golf resort in Cumberland County, Nova Scotia, scheduled to open in late 2027. The project is a collaboration with John Bragg and his family, founders of Oxford Frozen Foods, which is known as the world's largest wild blueberry farming operation.
Ben Cowan-Dewar, CEO and co-founder of Cabot, expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership, stating, "We are honoured to work with John Bragg and his family to bring Cabot Wilds to life and shine a light on this beautiful corner of Nova Scotia." Cowan-Dewar highlighted Bragg as a significant Canadian entrepreneur and a friend and mentor to him.
Located in Collingwood Corner, near Oxford, Cabot Wilds will feature a golf course designed by Jeff Mingay, along with a clubhouse, dining options, recreational facilities, and residential real estate. The resort aims to provide immersive outdoor experiences within the scenic maple forests and river landscapes of Nova Scotia.
John Bragg noted the importance of the land to his family and their shared values with Cabot in creating a resort that benefits local communities and prioritizes environmental stewardship. The golf course will be situated along the River Philip and will emphasize sustainability through its enrollment in Audubon International's Platinum Signature Sanctuary program.
The resort aims to offer various amenities, including a clubhouse with dining options that highlight the region's culinary heritage, wellness and spa facilities, and activities suitable for all seasons, from fishing to skiing. Cabot Wilds is set to provide a unique rural retreat that embraces both natural beauty and modern comforts.
