Keeper Security and SailPoint Partner to Automate Privileged Access Governance

Keeper Security has announced its integration with SailPoint, enabling a direct connection between Keeper's Privileged Access Management (PAM) platform and SailPoint's Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) platform. This integration aims to improve the management of privileged access and identity governance within organizations.

The Keeper SaaS Connector facilitates the provisioning, deprovisioning, and entitlement management of Keeper users, vaults, and resources through SailPoint's system. Traditionally, identity governance and privileged access management have functioned as separate entities, often leading to manual and inconsistent processes when handling access decisions and role changes. Research conducted by Keeper indicates that 96% of senior IT leaders believe disconnected security tools create exploitable gaps, while 64% do not operate with fully consolidated privileged access governance.

The integration allows for automation in the provisioning of vaults and the assignment of roles and permissions across both platforms. SailPoint-managed entitlements are seamlessly integrated within Keeper, ensuring that access certifications include details of privileged credentials safeguarded by Keeper's zero-knowledge architecture. Logging of grants, updates, and revocations occurs automatically, enhancing security and compliance.

Darren Guccione, CEO and Co-founder of Keeper Security, emphasized the importance of the integration, stating, "The organizations that properly implement identity security understand that governance is only as strong as its enforcement." He noted that the connection between IGA and PAM addresses a significant gap in enterprise security.

The integration is not only beneficial for general security practices but also supports federal compliance with NIST Special Publication 800-53 Rev. 5 requirements, particularly for account management and credential control. Keeper Security's integration with SailPoint is now available for organizations utilizing both platforms to streamline their privileged access management processes.
