Devolutions Launches Devolutions Ventures to Invest in the Next Generation of IT Technology
Devolutions has launched Devolutions Ventures, a new corporate venture division aimed at supporting companies and projects within the IT and managed service provider (MSP) ecosystem. This initiative will focus on areas including secure access, network performance, and IT automation technologies.
Devolutions Ventures is built upon seven prior investments, acquisitions, and sponsorships made since 2025, which include Mizo, dbatools.pro, Obkio, UniGetUI, Avalonia UI, PowerShell Universal, and ControlR. These investments span a range of technologies related to AI automation and network monitoring.
David Hervieux, Chief Executive Officer of Devolutions, stated, "We've spent more than 15 years building technology for IT teams, so we understand both the problems they face and what it takes to build for this market. We're approaching Devolutions Ventures as advisors, not simply investors. We want to back strong teams for the long term, give them room to keep building, and use what we've learned to help them grow."
Investing companies will continue to operate independently, maintaining their leadership and product roadmaps, while having access to Devolutions' global community of over one million IT professionals in 140 countries. Mike James, Chief Executive Officer at Avalonia UI, commented, "Devolutions brought us much more than capital. They understand our customers, our market, and what it takes to build a technology company in this space."
Over the next 12 to 18 months, Devolutions Ventures plans to broaden its network of investments and partnerships, focusing on AI, network technologies, and developer tools. Founders and developers interested in learning more about Devolutions Ventures can visit the company's website.
