Kodiak AI Reports First Quarter 2026 Results; Announces $100 Million PIPE Financing

Kodiak AI, Inc. reported significant developments in its first quarter of 2026, which concluded on March 31. The company announced the deployment of eight additional fully-driverless trucks, bringing its total number of customer-owned driverless vehicles to 28. This increase marks a 40% growth from the previous quarter. Kodiak trucks have amassed over 23,500 hours of paid driverless operations, a 120% increase since the end of Q4 2025.

The company disclosed that it has successfully raised $100 million through a private placement financing round, involving both existing investors and several new institutional participants. This funding is intended to further support the company's growth and operational plans. Revenue for the quarter reached $1.8 million, representing a 74% increase compared to the prior quarter.

CEO Don Burnette emphasized the company’s commitment to scaling its driverless operations and advancing its autonomous vehicle technology. He noted the goals of maturing its Physical AI-powered technology and forming new partnerships to facilitate further growth in the long-haul trucking, industrial, and defense sectors.

In addition to financial achievements, Kodiak AI announced strategic partnerships, including one with General Dynamics Land Systems to develop autonomous military ground vehicles. The company also revealed the Leonidas Autonomous Ground Vehicle, a collaborative effort that integrates its Kodiak Driver technology with Epirus’ counter-drone system. The company plans to launch its long-haul driverless truck service by late 2026.
