May 7, 2026 Issued by 3D Systems Inc

The Cadillac Formula 1® Team has selected seven SLA 3D printing systems from 3D Systems Inc to enhance its wind tunnel testing and production capabilities in preparation for its debut in the 2026 Formula 1™ season. The team aims to meet critical testing timelines by utilizing 3D Systems’ advanced software and materials, including Accura® Xtreme White 200, Accura Xtreme Black, and Accura HPC. These resources will allow for rapid production of test parts, which is essential given the impending race deadlines.

The SLA systems employed by Cadillac are designed for efficient, high-quality production-grade manufacturing, enabling detailed part features and smooth finishes. This tool-free manufacturing process significantly reduces lead times and costs, which are crucial for the team as it works to qualify for the FIA FORMULA ONE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP. The Cadillac Formula 1® Team successfully secured its entry into the 2026 season in time for the FORMULA 1 QATAR AIRWAYS AUSTRALIAN GRAND PRIX 2026.

To support its efforts, the team collaborated with 3D Systems’ Application Innovation Group, a team of engineers and technicians that aids customers in developing tailored solutions. Elvis Perez, Senior Vice President of Sales at 3D Systems, expressed satisfaction in their partnership, highlighting the company's commitment to innovation in additive manufacturing and its role in helping the Cadillac Formula 1® Team navigate stringent qualification requirements and tight timelines.
