Mission Craft Cocktails Celebrates World Cocktail Day with New Bar-Strength, Ready-to-Drink Tamarind Margarita
The Mexican candy-inspired Tamarind Margarita from Mission Craft Cocktails offers a way to provide meals for those in need through its One Bottle = One Meal program in partnership with Feeding America. This new addition to the company's lineup is launched in time for World Cocktail Day and the peak margarita season.
The Tamarind Margarita features a blend of premium tequila and handmade orange liquor, combined with lime, tamarind, agave nectar, watermelon, and chili. It joins the brand's existing offerings, which include a Classic Margarita and a Jalapeno Pineapple Margarita. Mission Craft Cocktails is known for its bar-strength, ready-to-drink cocktails prepared with locally-sourced ingredients from Southern California.
World Cocktail Day is celebrated annually on May 13, marking the 220th anniversary of the first printed definition of a "cocktail" in 1806. This global celebration encourages people to explore new flavors and enjoy classic drinks. The Tamarind Margarita is presented as a convenient option to indulge in a sophisticated cocktail without the need for elaborate mixing.
Founders Amit Singh and Marcin Malyszko emphasize the cultural inspiration behind the drink, stating, "With the perfect balance of tamarind, chili, lime, and sweet heat, we are giving cocktail lovers another delicious way to pour it forward this spring and summer." So far, Mission Craft Cocktails has funded over 1,259,222 meals through its program and aims to reach a target of 2,000,000 meals by the end of 2026.
The products are available at major retailers across the country, including Total Wine & More, and in various locations such as Binny's Beverage Depot in Chicago and Whole Foods Market in Hawaii. More information about Mission Craft Cocktails can be found at their website.
