May 21, 2026

The Meters and More Association has expanded its technology evaluation efforts to include Broadband Power Line (BPL) technology, aimed at enhancing interoperable smart metering and grid infrastructure. During its Annual General Assembly, the association announced the election of Corinex to its Board of Directors, citing the company's expertise in BPL as valuable for the association's initiatives.

Meters and More, established on the principles of innovation during Italy's large-scale smart meter rollout, continues to promote standardization in grid technologies. The association has seen widespread adoption of its standards, particularly in Italy, Spain, and Latin America, and is committed to advancing technology for its membership.

Carlo Maria Drago, General Manager of Meters and More, emphasized the organization's dedication to leading standardization efforts, stating, "We are determined to continue leading the standardization of innovative solutions for the benefit of our members, following our principles of openness and interoperability." The recent General Meeting, held on May 13, underscored the need to evaluate new generation meters and technologies over the next decade, focusing on operational benefits and the enhancement of electric grid reliability through BPL adoption.

Peter Sobotka, CEO of Corinex, expressed his enthusiasm for joining the board, saying, "It is an honour to be joining the Board of Directors of Meters and More. We look forward to charting the future of BPL solutions in cooperation with Meters and More members, according to their needs and interests." He highlighted the potential for BPL technology to serve as a robust foundation for digital grid reinforcement.

Meters and More is a non-profit organization that promotes the Meters and More communication protocol, facilitating two-way data transfer in advanced metering infrastructure systems. Corinex specializes in digital grid reinforcement through its advanced BPL solutions, aiding utilities in enhancing visibility and grid management while participating actively in BPL standardization initiatives.
