OMNI FIBER ACQUIRES CITIZENS FIBER, EXPANDING ITS FOOTPRINT IN WESTERN PENNSYLVANIA

Omni Fiber has announced the acquisition of Citizens Fiber, a provider of fiber-optic Internet, TV, and phone services in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania. This acquisition aims to enhance Omni Fiber's presence in the region and bring high-speed fiber Internet to more communities, including Latrobe, Greensburg, Mt. Pleasant, and Youngstown.

Citizens Fiber has built a reputation for reliable fiber-based services, aligning with Omni Fiber's mission to provide 100% fiber-optic broadband to areas with limited Internet options. The partnership will allow the companies to offer symmetrical Internet speeds of up to 10 Gbps, without hidden fees or data caps, while also ensuring robust local customer support.

Darrick Zucco, CEO of Omni Fiber, emphasized the significance of the acquisition, stating, "This acquisition is an exciting milestone for Omni Fiber and a testament to our commitment to bringing advanced fiber connectivity to every community we serve." He also noted that the combined resources would enhance service availability for residential and business customers in Westmoreland County.

During the transition, existing Citizens Fiber customers will continue to receive uninterrupted services. Omni Fiber plans to introduce its full range of Internet, TV, phone, and mobile services in the area shortly. Additionally, the acquisition is expected to create new job opportunities, contributing to the local economy.

The company aims to add nearly 200,000 locations in several counties across western Pennsylvania in the near future.
