Petco Love Brings Together 14 Animal Shelters and Rescues for NYC's Biggest Pet Adoption Event and Block Party
Petco Love, a national nonprofit organization, has partnered with 14 animal welfare organizations in the New York City area to host a large-scale pet adoption event on June 7th. The event aims to find homes for hundreds of adoptable pets, including over 400 cats, dogs, and small companion animals. It will take place at Union Square Park from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., featuring music and giveaways.
As summer is a critical time for shelters that often see an influx of animals, this collaborative event offers New Yorkers an opportunity to adopt a pet and support local animal welfare efforts. Attendees can check the list of participating shelters and rescues at petco.love/blockparty.
Chelsea Staley, President of Petco Love, emphasized the significance of the event, stating, "One of the most meaningful moments is seeing a pet find their person and begin a bond that can change both of their lives." She expressed that the event not only creates more opportunities for pets to find loving homes but also celebrates the ongoing lifesaving work within the community.
The event will include mobile adoption units and vendor giveaways. For more information about Petco Love and its efforts in animal welfare, interested individuals can visit PetcoLove.org.
