Fapon Biopharma and MOTE Therapeutics to Present Dual-Platform B-Cell Immunotherapy Franchise at BIO 2026
Fapon Biopharma, a clinical-stage biotech company specializing in therapeutic antibodies and fusion proteins, and MOTE Therapeutics, a preclinical-stage biotech company focused on a novel targeted LNP delivery platform and in vivo CAR-T therapies, will participate in the BIO International Convention 2026 from June 22 to 25 at the San Diego Convention Center. Both companies are members of Fapon Group and plan to present their dual-targeting (CD19×BCMA) and dual-platform (TCE + in vivo CAR-T) franchise, which aims to achieve deep and durable B-cell depletion through complementary therapeutic modalities. They anticipate advancing both assets toward human trials within the next six months.
The companies will exhibit at Booth 5435-2 in the Shanghai Pudong Pavilion, where they will showcase their complementary technology platforms and innovative pipeline, which spans immuno-oncology and autoimmune diseases, along with global partnership opportunities.
Fapon Biopharma's proprietary VHH human-cynomolgus cross-binding T-cell engager platform is central to their pipeline, designed to address challenges related to developability and therapeutic windows in traditional multi-specific immune cell engagers. MOTE Therapeutics contributes its mobilize™ targeted LNP (tLNP) platform, a next-generation in vivo gene delivery system capable of enabling cell-specific targeted delivery and extrahepatic tissue distribution through a modular surface functionalization approach.
The companies' B-cell depletion franchise features two notable programs targeting CD19 and BCMA. FPE024, a potential best-in-class CD19×BCMA×CD3 tri-specific T-cell engager, is aimed at autoimmune indications, with an IND filing expected in Q1 2027. Meanwhile, MTX001, a CD19×BCMA in vivo CAR-T program utilizing the mobilize™ tLNP platform, is expected to enter its first-in-human study in Q4 2026.
In addition to their B-cell depletion efforts, Fapon Biopharma and MOTE Therapeutics are advancing a robust pipeline that includes FP008, a global first-in-class PD1×IL10M fusion protein in Phase I development, and FP012, a TL1A×IL10MM fusion protein aimed at inflammatory bowel disease. Both FP012 and an additional product, FPE021, targeting gastrointestinal tract cancers, are expected to enter IND-enabling CMC/GLP toxicology in 2026.
