Ilham Aliyev received delegation of the House of Representatives of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan
On June 21, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev met with a delegation from the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, led by Speaker of the House of Representatives Mazen Turki Sa'oud El Qadi.
During the meeting, President Aliyev emphasized that the relationship between Azerbaijan and Jordan is founded on friendship and mutual support. He expressed optimism that collaboration in various fields, including political, economic, and humanitarian areas, would continue to grow.
The president underscored the importance of El Qadi’s involvement in the 20th Session of the Conference of the Parliamentary Union of the OIC Member States to be hosted in Baku, and he highlighted the visit as a significant opportunity to advance bilateral relations and discuss legislative cooperation.
El Qadi conveyed greetings from King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein of Jordan, to which President Aliyev responded with gratitude, requesting that his own greetings be relayed back to the King. He also extended an invitation for King Abdullah II to visit Azerbaijan.
Throughout the discussion, the Speaker reflected on the successful development of Azerbaijan under President Aliyev’s leadership, noting the country's stability and social justice. He acknowledged Azerbaijan’s commitment to supporting Islamic solidarity and appreciated its position on the Palestinian issue. El Qadi also mentioned ongoing development projects in Garabagh and East Zangezur, congratulating Azerbaijan on regaining its territorial integrity.
