Trucker Path Leverages Verisk CargoNet Data to Help Drivers Identify High-Risk Cargo Theft Areas

Trucker Path has announced a collaboration with Verisk CargoNet®, a leader in cargo theft prevention and recovery. This partnership will integrate cargo theft trend data into Trucker Path Navigation, a commercial navigation and fleet management platform, enabling truck drivers to identify higher-risk areas and make more informed routing decisions.

The collaboration comes as cargo theft continues to be a significant risk in the U.S. supply chain. In the first five months of 2026, Verisk CargoNet recorded 1,120 cargo theft incidents, resulting in over $121 million in estimated losses.

By incorporating a Verisk CargoNet theft cloud overlay in Trucker Path, drivers will instantly know when they're in high theft areas. That level of heightened awareness will lead to proactive deterrence."

The updated platform will provide truck-specific navigation features, real-time parking availability, fuel pricing, and weigh station status, along with the newly added Verisk CargoNet data. This addition aims to increase drivers' awareness of riskier areas, with California, Texas, and New Jersey identified as the top states for cargo theft in Q1 2026.

Verisk CargoNet insights within Trucker Path are designed to assist transportation companies in reducing theft exposure and improving driver safety. Ryan Shepherd, general manager of Verisk CargoNet, highlighted that theft risk is increasingly associated with specific locations, particularly in high-density logistics regions, and that integrating this data into navigation tools helps address a crucial visibility gap for drivers.
