Group 1 Automotive Announces Honda of Greenbelt is now Group 1 Honda Greenbelt

Group 1 Automotive, Inc. has announced the renaming of Honda of Greenbelt to Group 1 Honda Greenbelt, effective May 12, 2026. This change is part of a nationwide brand alignment initiative aimed at unifying its network of dealerships across the United States and the United Kingdom.

The Greenbelt location is one of several U.S. dealerships undergoing this transition, which seeks to provide customers with a stronger connection to Group 1's scale, resources, and operational standards. The dealership aims to maintain local staffing and customer relationships while aligning more closely with the Group 1 brand.

The rebranding is intended to enhance the customer experience across Group 1's retail network without altering ownership, staff, or service offerings. Group 1 Automotive acquired the Greenbelt dealership in early 2024, and the name change formalizes its connection to the company's larger platform, offering local customers the benefits associated with a more expansive automotive group.

Tammy Darvish, General Manager of Group 1 Honda Greenbelt, stated, "This rebrand gives our customers the best of both worlds: the same local Honda team they know and trust, now with a clearer connection to the strength and resources of Group 1." The rebrand aims to provide a consistent and transparent experience for customers shopping for new vehicles or seeking service.

Group 1 Honda Greenbelt will continue to serve customers at its existing location on Capitol Drive in Greenbelt, Maryland. The dealership's collision center has also been renamed Group 1 Honda Greenbelt Collision, providing support throughout the surrounding Maryland communities for new and pre-owned vehicles, service, parts, and maintenance.

Group 1 Automotive operates a total of 250 dealerships, 310 franchises, and 32 collision centers, offering 37 brands of automobiles. The company focuses on providing a complete automotive experience, including new and used car sales, financing, maintenance, and parts services.
